Communication is key! To communicate freely with others and to be listened to and understood are communication rights for everyone. Being a Speech and Language Therapist gives me the opportunity to work with clients, carers and part of a multidisciplinary team to improve individuals’ lives; be it their self-esteem and confidence or their chances of a positive experience in school, work or within the community.

My favourite word is 'sonder' - the realisation that everyone is living a life as vivid and complex as your own.
