What Does it Take to Empower Pupils with Autism?

Who we are

At Empower Autism, we believe in the empowerment of Autistic people of all ages to proudly embrace their neurodiverse individuality whilst leading fulfilled, meaningful, and connected lives. Empower Autism is a specialist service that supports Autistic people and their families through a range of services including diagnosis, therapy, coaching, advice, and training.

How we Empower Schools

Our Empower Autism Specialists help schools achieve meaningful and enduring change in how they support Autistic pupils with our Empowered Schools Programme. This 2-day programme takes schools on a structured journey to becoming an Empower Autism School. This is an on-site training programme but can be delivered remotely via video-link if preferred.

DAY 1:

An interactive training day at the school / delivered remotely run by one of our Empower Autism Specialists. This is bespoke to each school but can cover a range of strategies, approaches and frameworks that equip participants with the skills and knowledge to support Autistic pupils with attention and listening, social communication, emotional regulation, self advocacy and language.  

DAY 2:

Your Empower Autism Specialist returns to support programme participants with implementing the learning from day 1 into their hands-on work with Autistic pupils. We also ensure that the strategies and approaches are fully embedded into how the school runs, so that the staff team will be a dab hand at empowering all Autistic pupils, well into the future.
