I have always been fascinated by child development and became inspired to embark on a career in Speech and Language Therapy after working closely with a child with speech and language needs in primary school. I have been working as a Speech and Language Therapist since 2011 and feel passionate that an essential part of my role is to support others in recognising the potential in every child to communicate - through whatever method that may be.

My favourite word is 'Heffalump' as it makes me think of some of the fun mispronunciations that children come up with and how these can become something else in their own imagination!
