The amazing ability to communicate allows us to share our unique world with one another. Children possess such a beautifully innate ability to spread joy and laughter through their ever-active imagination and unique ideas. However, when a child struggles to communicate we can lose sight of this beautiful imagination they hold. Working alongside clients, parents and other professionals allows us to explore fun and exciting ways to overcome these challenges. There is nothing more rewarding then helping children discover their abilities to share their weird and wonderful world with whomever they wish – which is why being a Speech and Language Therapist is so amazing!
My favourite word is ‘enchanting’. A child’s world is enchanting and full of wonder, mystery and delight! The word enchanting takes me back to these feelings and imaginative worlds of my childhood, reminding me never to stop looking at the world in a magical way!
