We believe in the Magic of Words …

...the words that we use to communicate and connect with others through language that is spoken or signed.

The words in the books that we read are really important too. Books contain the stories that help us to understand the world we live in.

For every therapy session we deliver in 2021 we will donate books to the children and schools who need them.

How it works & what we are doing

Children need access to books...

…because books help to support healthy speech, language and communication development and also foster good mental health and wellbeing. We use books all the time in our therapy sessions. Frankie Paterson explains more here. But, accessing books can be a challenge because currently 1 in every 8 schools does not have a library.

So, we have been busy selecting books that we think are great for supporting children’s speech, language and communication development and wellbeing.

We have created a library where you can find the books we recommend. You can also learn more about why we think these books are so good and how to get the most out of reading.

AND each term we will be giving the books we have chosen and donating Magic Words in Books to the children and schools that need them. For every therapy session we deliver in 2021 we will be donating books!
