Speech and Language Therapist
I chose to become a speech and language therapist because I believe that everyone has something valuable to share. Communication is a fundamental right, and I feel it is important to create a space where children are heard and understood regardless of how they express themselves.
What I love most about this work is meeting children where they are, building trust, celebrating their individuality, and working with them to set goals that matter to them. I am excited to guide children through their communication journeys. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child gain the confidence to share their thoughts and feelings with the world.
My favourite word is ‘Spleodar’ - it is an Irish word used to express cheerfulness and joy. I like this word because it can be used to describe many different things across many contexts, and it is fun to say!
