Speech and Language Therapist

Having recently graduated, I'm excited to start my career as an NQP Speech and Language Therapist with Magic Words Therapy. What draws me most to Speech and Language Therapy is the opportunity to support people to communicate and express themselves in ways most comfortable for them, helping to give everyone a voice and the chance to be heard. I am particularly interested in using creative and person-centred approaches to therapy and would love to incorporate my musical background (as a Flautist & Singer) into therapy where appropriate. I am excited to continue developing my interests within the profession as I gain experience.

My favourite word is “Musical” because music has always been a big part of who I am. I play the Flute and sing, and I value how creative approaches, including using music in therapy, can support communication, build confidence and encourage creativity. I would love to incorporate my musical background into therapy where appropriate to help support communication in engaging and enjoyable ways.
