Contract type: Zero hours contract
Location: These positions are fully remote, applicants welcome from across the UK.
About the Role: We are recruiting for flexible, remote team members to support our service during periods of increased demand, including annual leave and sickness cover. This is a non-clinical, administrative triage and coordination role. The primary focus is to support incoming enquiries and ensure clients are directed to the most appropriate service pathway in line with established protocols.
Important: This role does not involve diagnosis, clinical assessment, or treatment decisions.
Key responsibilities:
Respond to phone and email enquiries in a professional and timely manner
Gather relevant information using structured intake templates
Apply pre-defined triage protocols and decision-making frameworks (no independent clinical decision-making required)
Direct clients to appropriate services or clinicians based on agreed pathways
Book appointments in line with clinician availability, skillset, and service criteria
Escalate complex or clinical concerns to appropriately qualified and registered professionals
Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with data protection requirements
Who This Role Is Suitable For
We welcome applications from individuals with:
A background in Speech and Language Therapy (SaLT), including:
Students (undergraduate, postgraduate, or apprenticeship routes)
Speech and Language Therapy Assistants/Practitioners (SaLTAPs)
Non-practising or HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapists
Additional details: Shifts are offered on an ad‑hoc basis, primarily between 9am–5:30pm when cover is needed. There is no guarantee of hours, and candidates are free to accept or decline work offered. The successful candidates will be comfortable applying clinical reasoning, following Magic Words processes, and applying experience to support in triaging enquiries, screening concerns, and guiding clients into the most appropriate clinical pathway. This includes booking clients into therapists’ diaries reflecting the correct pathway, clinician skillset and expected clinical need. All successful applicants will be required to undergo a DBS check.
We have multiple positions available, with the goal of securing reliable and consistent cover to support phone and email enquiries. The main focus of this role is to cover holiday / annual leave and sickness cover when required.
Salary: Starting from £12.71/hr, dependent on level of experience.
