Happy Pride Month from all of us here at Magic Words Therapy!
June 1st marks the official start of Pride Month, with parades, festivals and celebrations galore happening right here in the UK and all around the world!
While some Pride events take place during the month of June, others happen at various points throughout the year. That’s why we decided to put together this handy 2025 Pride Guide that you can refer to or share with family and friends to ensure you don’t miss out on any local events happening nearest to you.
Upcoming Pride events happening in areas nearest to our 7 clinic locations:
Cambridge Pride: Saturday 14th June, Cambridge City Centre
Pride in London (Parade): Saturday 5th July.
This year, the Parade in London runs from Hyde Park Corner, through Piccadilly Circus, down Haymarket and along Cockspur Street to Trafalgar Square, culminating at Whitehall Place.
Northampton Pride: Saturday 12th July, Market Square
Hertfordshire (Herts Pride): Saturday 30th August, Cassiobury Park
Milton Keynes Pride: Saturday 13th September, Campbell Park
There are even more Pride events happening in areas where our Speech and Language Therapy services are commissioned by a broad range of schools, settings and educational establishments - where our therapy team support children, teens and adults to communicate and access learning. If there’s an upcoming Pride event that we missed, send an email to andy@magicwordstherapy.co.uk and we’ll add it to the list!
Dunstable Pride: Saturday 7th June, Grove Park (Dunstable’s first ever Pride - a historical event!)
Oxford Pride: Saturday 7th June, South Park
Pride in Luton: Saturday 14th June, The Hat District
High Wycombe Pride: Saturday 23rd August
Pride is for everyone who believes in equality, diversity and inclusion!
While Pride Month celebrations are all about raising awareness of and celebrating LGBTQIA+ diversity and visibility, these events are also safe spaces for allies and anyone who supports LGBTQIA+ rights and equality.
