Yellow House Health & Outreach Service is a health and education service provider that focuses on supporting those with communication disabilities in East Africa. Speech and language therapy is not a recognised profession in the region, so their goal is to provide a sustainable and equitable service whilst advocating for the recognition of the profession.
In the last few tears Magic Words Therapy has fundraised for some of our therapists to go out to Kenya to volunteer for Yellow House working with families who need speech and language intervention and in helping to train local teachers to be better able to support children with speech, language and communication needs in the classroom. Our links with Yellow House continue to evolve.
