Please join the Magic Words Therapy team as we take a leisurely Sunday walk along the Grand Union canal on this midsummer's day in June to raise money to fund our therapist Catherine Clancey's trip to volunteer for Yellow House in Kenya in July. Catherine plans to volunteer with Yellow House health and outreach services in Kenya, an organisation that provides speech and language therapy (SLT) within East Africa. Through Yellow House Catherine can have a huge impact on the lives of children who struggle with communication difficulties and would otherwise not be able to access the support that we are able to access here in the UK.
There will be a treasure hunt along the walk with a prize for the winner.
Free entry for children.
There will be a small fee to join the walk of £10 for adults. All money raised will go to our Just Giving campaign to try to raise funds for this worthy endeavour.
Please invite friends and family to take part with you. This is a chance for the Magic Words Therapy team, their loved ones and members of our community to have a lovely day out together as well as raise money for helping people with speech language and communication needs in Kenya. All money raised will go directly to funding the trip.
We will set off at 11am from the Gifford pub at Giffard Park, near Newport Pagnell. Walking to The Barge in Woolstone , and back again. The walk will be roughly 2 hours all together.
