"To effectively communicate, we must realise that we are all different in the way we perceive the world and use this understanding as a guide to our communications with others" - Tony Robbins.
This quote is relevant to a range of client groups Speech and Language Therapists work with, particularly so those individuals on the Autistic Spectrum and individuals with a sensory impairment including Hearing Impairment. Every individual is different and has their own story, but every person has the right to communicate within their environment with their significant others.
My favourite word is ‘extraordinarily'. I like the way it rolls off the tongue. It appears quite a lot in the Mr Men and Little Miss books and I love reading this word aloud in the context of the amusing stories from this range of books.
